zugspitze luxury family resort

First of all apologies for being late with updates but Internet has been scarce and it's easier to work on my excellent BlackBerry Q10. We arrived in Erwald Austria after a short one night stop off at an aire in Trier Germany on the banks of the Mosel river. The Zugspitze resort is a favourite of our and we spent a lot of time on the bikes visiting the fabulous open air Lidos and and excellent restaurants. After two nights we left for Lofer.

2013 Dethleffs Advantage i681 - New Van

Forgot to mention we have a new and rather super new Van, a Dethleffs Advantage i681 and I will update the Blog header as soon as I get a good picture... Its a very much like this but sky blue...

2013 European Tour Commences...

Tomorrow morning we are heading for the Eurotunnel and then on to Trier in Germany for a night before heading on to Garmisch-Partenkirchen for two nights. We then move on to Grubhoff Camping in Lofer, Austria for six nights. we will update further from there...

Titisee-Neustadt

On the way home and stopped off at Titisee for a night. Black Forest Resort town with lovely lake and huge leisure centre. We have stayed here before and its a very nice place to be. Heading home for James' Birthday and a visit by Sue's Brother Terry's family...

Garmisch-Partenkirchen

Well a trip to Austria is not the same without a trip over the border to Garmisch-Partenkirchen one of our favourite towns and home to an excellent leisure centre where we spent our last proper day of the holiday in Austria/Germany.

Heitewanger See

Yesterday we revisited the beautiful lake at Heitewanger See. We took the lake cruise first followed by a day in the sun playing at lake shore....

Biberwier Fun Mountain

Today we took the bus to Biberwier the next village along from Ehrwald to spend the day having downhill fun including riding the Monster Scooters down from the top of the chairlift and riding the amazing dry Toboggan that runs from the very top of chairlift to the bottom. All in all it about a 1k ride and you can go very fast. This was the first year James was able to ride alone!
