Camping Hopfensee ***** Fussen Bavaria

We have spent the last two nights at Camping Hopfensee in the very pretty town of Fussen in Southern Bavaria. The site is situated beside a large lake that is ideal for swimming (George was straight in) and has direct views of a stunning mountain range. The facilities really are 5* and as good as a premier hotel. There is an indoor heated pool (32 degrees) and many different Sauna and Massage experiences available - full spa facilities. There is also a typical Bavarian Restaurant serving Schnitzel, Sausages etc and even Pizza for the boys. There is even a huge indoor play facility and indoor football pitch! The weather has been amazing with full Sun and over 30 degree temperatures every day. The town of Fussen looks typical Bavaria but as we could only get two nights at the site we are going to back and see it properly on the way home. Today we have set off for Lermoos and stunningly pretty village in a high valley between Garmisch and Fussen.
